THE PERFECT SPRING DRESS FROM QUINCE
Hello from Palm Beach! We are having a lovely time at The Eau Palm Beach, and I love the decor! Jonathan Adler designed the rooms, and they are so beachy and fun! We had dinner at the Four Seasons bar the first night and met the most entertaining couple! They live part-time across the road from the hotel and would be our best friends if we lived close to one another. I love meeting new people! We went to the Breakers (so insanely gorgeous) for a drink before dinner last night and had dinner at Henry’s. Tonight we are going to the Brazilian Court and having dinner at Café Boulud. It’s been a fun trip!
The weather has been a little chilly here at night, and I brought this fabulous silk slip dress (comes in 7 colors) and cashmere sweater (comes in 11 colors) to wear for dinner from one of my favorite retailers, Quince. I’ve discussed and linked to them before, but I sincerely love this brand. Their cashmere is so good and soft (and the prices are insane), and this slip dress looks every bit as good as a pricier brand. I like the straps better on the one I’m wearing and it’s also washable! I know I will get so much wear from both pieces. Quince is like a one-stop shop for everything you need. They carry women’s and men’s fine jewelry, bags, shoes, kids, home decor, and travel. I have not purchased shoes yet, but I think I must have these! I bought this comfy bra and this pack of underwear. I will order this repeatedly. I’m not a thong girl (most of the time), and I love how these do not show panty lines. Plus, they are so comfortable. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Quince for summer!
I wore the look with my L’Agence sandals from last spring (unfortunately), which are sold out, but I did find them in a pretty lilac denim here. I love this silver bag from Lily & Bean! It’s so fun, and the quality is fantastic! There are so many colors to choose from! I pulled out my silver bone cuff from Elsa Peretti that I bought in 1980. I can’t believe I hung on to it, but I’m so glad I did because cuff bracelets are trending again!
I read last week’s post’s comments, and I appreciate your honesty. I still love the pants in question and will continue wearing them. You all know I am a denim girl, but I like to show other choices besides jeans. Plus, the pants are comfortable, trending, and very well-priced, and I am thinking about that a lot right now when I come up with outfits. Many of you have commented that you would like to see more affordable options, and I am trying to be mindful of that and the current economy. You are all right; I should take comments off of the posts. When I put myself “out there,” I opened myself up for criticism. I won’t say it’s easy to read, but it is part of the deal.
I appreciate you all reading my posts! If it weren’t for you all, I wouldn’t be here, and it means a lot! I vacillate on whether or not I am being helpful and giving inspiration after doing this for almost eleven years! I guess I will know when I know!
