LOOKING FOR A VERSATILE SUMMER DRESS?
My Favorite Girls- Natalie, Samantha, and Heather
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you had a great week! We have had a very cloudy one, and it looks like the weekend will be that way too. It’s okay with me because, after last weekend, a quiet one is exactly what I want! I’m thrilled to be with my Chic At Every Age pals for this post. Are you looking for a versatile summer dress? Well, we have the perfect one for you!
We were so excited to be back together and partnering with Neiman Marcus to show you all this fun pleated and crushed silk dress from Eileen Fisher. You can see from the way we all styled it that it can be worn belted, with a shirt tied at the waist, with a tee under it (threw that in), or sweater or jacket over it. This dress is great for any summer occasion or just wearing as a throw-on-and-go dress. When we got the dress, I figured that the other girls would be wearing heels, so I decided to wear the dress with sneakers for a very casual look. I would wear a wedge or flat sandal with it too. This is a great dress to wear for Cinco de Mayo next week because you can eat lots of chips and queso; this dress has plenty of room!

I went to two events last night. The first was at the Alice and Olivia store. Stacey Bendet, the designer, was there, and she is adorable. The theme was florals, and she was wearing a red and white long floral dress. I almost didn’t recognize her because I’ve only seen her with dark hair. She had her hair dyed to match the dress and the floral wall in the store. Nicky Hilton was there with a cute new shoe line she is doing with French Soles, and Tina Craig, the founder of U Beauty, had her newest products. I am definitely ordering the Sculpt Arm Compound! Actually, I will order everything she has because I’ve never seen anyone with skin as gorgeous as hers! Anyway, it was super fun, and I wore this jacket and these jeans.
The next event was a 50th birthday party at a sushi restaurant, and it was tons of fun. About fifty women were there, and I think everyone at both events last night was so happy to be out and feeling like life was somewhat back to normal here in Dallas. Before anyone blasts (I might get it from a few) me about being out, I have personally decided to live my life. I am still as careful as I can be, but as a cancer survivor, life is short and precious, and I’m not going to sit at home and miss out on being with my family and friends. That is my decision.
Okay, sweet friends, I hope you have a great weekend! Get outside (weather permitting) and breathe the fresh air! Buy yourself some flowers for May Day, and thank God for your life! I am thankful for all of you! xx
