How To Make Kitchen Cabinet Mini Wreaths

Fancy some kitchen cabinet mini wreaths, anyone? Almost everyone is holiday-decorating earlier this year! With the current state of events, who wouldn’t want to see that holiday sparkle and cheer a little sooner and longer? If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’ve started decorating for the holidays at the lake house. Since we have an open concept there – with the living room, dining area, foyer/landing, and kitchen all open and next to each other, I thought I’d add some mini wreaths to some of our kitchen cabinets to let the holiday decor flow. Here’s how to make them!

How To Make Kitchen Cabinet Mini Wreaths

These mini Christmas wreaths are super easy to make and can be customized to your own liking! I’m going to show you the basics. So you can go on and do whatever you like to match your Christmas decor or theme this year! First thing’s first, what you’ll need!

What You’ll Need:

(1) 10-inch wreaths – I used preserved boxwood. I just find them more elegant looking. But you can use whatever you like. I’ve added some options below.

(2) Ribbons – cut to the same length for each one. You can use whatever you like. Use a wired ribbon if you want to tie a bow. If you have extras from decorating your tree, that would be perfect! Mine was from 2 years ago and if I remember correctly, was from Joann’s Fabric. I’ve included some similar ones below.

(3) Bells – totally optional but adds a bit of Christmas cheer when you open your kitchen cabinets! Mine is probably from Target from years and years ago but found some cute ones below.

DIY Kitchen Cabinet Mini Christmas Wreaths Instructions

It’s super easy to make. All you have to do is:

  1. Loop ribbon through the wreath.
  2. If using bells or any other ornament of choosing, loop it through your ribbon.
  3. Tie a knot at the end of the ribbon to secure. Make sure they are all the same length. Test fit by hanging them next to each other on some kind of rod or maybe on a wall hook, just to see if they are all even in length.
  4. To hang, I used an inverted command hook at the back of my kitchen cabinet. I’ve seen others use duct tape, but I don’t want to mess up my painted cabinets. You can also use thumb tacks or a small nail if your mini wreaths are lightweight.
